Saint John police have arrested a man for trying to rob a Saint John Transit bus driver last night in the Waterloo Village.
Police tell CHSJ News at around 9:45pm in the area of St. Joseph’s Hospital on Bayard Drive a man ordered money from the bus driver, to which the driver responded that he didn’t have any.
When the man asked the driver again, he was pushed out of the bus, the driver closed the door, drove off and then called police.
Police then arrested a 33-year-old man on Waterloo Street.
