One person was hurt in Fredericton after falling outside while escaping from a burning building in the early morning hours of Thursday.
The fire was at a duplex on Fairview Drive and there were eight people in the building according to the Red Cross including six people who live there and two people visiting.
Five of these people were taken to hospital for minor smoke inhalation and then released.
The fire damaged both sides of the duplex and insurance is taking care of a place to stay for these people.
