Tourism numbers were up last year here in Saint John with numbers forecasted to be even better this year.
That from Executive Director of Discover Saint John Victoria Clarke who recently gave a presentation to Common Council
She says their key demographic is New Brunswickers and 65 per cent of those who visit are from this province.
Cruise ship visitation is up 13 per cent for 2015 and they forecast a 20 per cent increase for this year.
Clarke says Saint John had over 1.5 million visitors, which saw growth in the three major markets; New Brunswickers, people from across Canada and visitors from the US and foreign countries.
