Uptown Saint John’s loss is the west side’s gain.
A restaurant that’s been on Prince William street for many years is heading west this spring and expanding to a new location in the building that once housed Blockbuster Video.
.
We asked Jungle Jim’s owner Brian Geneau what happens now for their 12 employees and he said they have been laid off.
He says they have the choice to pursue other employment but he says 90 per cent are excited about the move and happy to have a few monts off before the new location opens.
Geneau tells us they plan to open in April and will be increasing their staff to 40 people.
He says parking was an issue at the location on Prince William street.
