Magnetic Hill Zoo Hopes For More Tiger Cubs In 2017

The Magnetic Hill Zoo is now closed for a few months and will reopen in the spring.

But their hope is to have more little additions for 2017.

Last year, the big attraction was the tiger cubs, and Manager Bruce Dougan says their hope is they may have more cubs for the upcoming season, “That was her first heat, and she got pregnant right away and she was a terrific mom, probably one of the best I’ve ever seen with young cubs. We expect we’ll have success again this year.”

Dougan says they plan to put the tigers together over the next few weeks, “If she was to go into heat and catch the first time, that would put us into end of April or beginning of May for those cubs to be born.”

The tiger cubs from 2016, were relocated to other zoos in November last year.
