The New Brunswick Family Plan has been announced as the next major initiative from the Gallant government.
Premier Brian Gallant has invited stakeholder groups to get involved in a process which he says will support families and help build a stronger, healthier province.
Seven pillars will make up the Family Plan including promoting wellness, reducing poverty, supporting seniors, the disabled and those with mental health challenges, improving access to primary and acute care along with advancing women’s equality.
Input will be sought from stakeholders such as – the New Brunswick Medical Society and the province’s Women’s Council – during a series of summits around the province in the weeks ahead.
The Family Plan follows similar stakeholder sessions which formed the Gallant government’s education plan and economic growth plan.
