An expression of hate was found on the campus of Mount Allison University over the weekend.
Photos on social media showed a swastika had been carved in the snow on Alumni Field.

However, the Nazi symbol was later replaced with the word “hope”.
According to its Facebook page, the Student Affairs Anti-Racism Committee will be looking into the incident.
Mount Allison University says the matter is being taken very seriously.
