It’s a victory today for the Charlotte County Hospital.
The Concerned Citizens of Charlotte County say the government has not given the official word, but, they have confirmed the surgeon and staff have been called back to their positions, and the operating room in St. Stephen will be back up and running on Monday.
Co-chair of the group, John Gardner says he is very proud of his community for standing together in unity.
He also wants to give thanks to the provincial government, “We do owe thanks to the government, Premier Gallant and MLA John Ames, for actually listening to us when we laid our case out and said ‘this is what’s really going on’, and for putting that extra push onto Horizon Health. This is something that everyone has accomplished.”
Gardner calls this “democracy in action”.
