Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred has confirmed the Boston Red Sox used electronic communication from the dugout to steal opponents’ signs and relay them to Boston players. The New York Yankees filed a formal complaint against the Red Sox on July 18th. The Red Sox have filed their own complaint, accusing the Yankees of using a camera from their TV Network to steal signs.
In New Brunswick Senior Baseball, the Saint John Alpines begin their playoffs tonight. The Alpines and Fredericton Royals will play a best of 7 league semi final with game one in Fredericton. Game 2 is scheduled for Memorial Field tomorrow night at 7:30.
