UPDATE: Tens Of Thousands In NB Remain In The Dark This Morning

Life is beginning to return to normal for some, but for the thousands of others who are still without power, the frustrations are beginning to build.

At one point yesterday, over 130 thousand people were off the grid. This morning, that number is down to over 80, 000, with over 21, 000 in Greater Moncton alone.

The NB Power website states that: They expect to have 80 per cent of the customers in Sussex and Moncton restored by the end of today.

For Tracadie, Miramichi, Sackville, Shediac and Bouctouche, the hope is to have around 60 per cent restored by tonight.

Some residents have now been without power for over 35 hours.

Warming centres in some cities were open last night.
