NB Power Provides Update On Work Being Done

Over 30, 000 NB Power customers remain in the dark across the province after last week’s ice storm. Today is day 6 without electricity and heat for thousands of them. Over 3100 of them are in the Greater Moncton area, and over 4200 in Kent County. The others are spread throughout the province.

Warming centres and emergency shelters remain open for those in need.

Last week, Nova Scotia Power and Hydro Quebec crews were brought in, and today crews are coming from Maritime Electric in Prince Edward Island to help.

NB Power tweeted a statement this morning on the work that is being done.

Premier Brian Gallant will be in Shippagan this afternoon, along with the President and CEO of NB Power Gaetan Thomas to provide an update.
