Southern New Brunswick Comedy Festival Launches Name Contest

A comedy festival will be stopping at venues throughout Kenebecasis Valley in October and you can help name it.

Something Funny Inc. Director Mark Burnett says it’s an opportunity for fans to become more than just attendees of the festival, but become part of it by having a say in the name of it.

There are six options to choose from.

Burnett says New Brunswick isn’t experiencing the best economic times right now, but people need to laugh and they see the value in supporting local comedy.

When you vote, you’ll be entered to win two VIP passes for the festival making stops in Kennebecasis Valley on October 20th and 21st.

Comedians involved in the festival include 2016 Canadian Comedy Awards Best Male Comic Brian Aylward, Jimmy MacKinley and James Mullinger.

The six possible names include:

-Something Funny Comedy Fest
-Comedy East
-Fundy Laughs Comedy Fest
-Laughapaloozafest
-East Coast Funny Fest
-High Tide Comedy Festival

The winner will be drawn on January 31st at noon.

The VIP tickets include a prize package valued at over $300.00
