Residents on the Peninsula are taking safety concens at the Four corners to the province.
Barry Walton is an advisor for the Kingston Local Service District and he says there is a lot of congestion at that intersection with a busy store, a church and a school.
We asked Walton is a traffic study has ever been considered.
He says it’s been conducted twice and based on national standards the number are not there to support putting in a four way stop but the decision would be provincial resting with staff from the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure.
King Centre MLA Bill Oliver has collected signed petitions and will be handing them over to Transportation Minister Bill Fraser but you can still sign the petition for a four way stop at both the Kingston General Store and Fullarton’s store in Long Reach.
