MP Remains Hopeful About Energy East Pipeline

Once an energy project is suspended, will it be resuscitated? That question is being posed now that TransCanada is asking for a 30 day suspension of its application to build the Energy East pipeline.

Saint John-Rothesay MP Wayne Long acknowledges there have been delays but he believes the pipeline project is still viable in spite of all the obstacles. He remains hopeful if a little less optimistic.

Long thinks the enhanced criteria for evaluating the project might even change the minds of those who are opposed including the province of Quebec.
