Small Floatplane Crashes In Saint John River Near Woodman’s Point

The RCMP say a small floatplane crashed Saturday afternoon during take off in the St. John River near Woodman’s Point.

The plane landed in the water earlier with no issues.

Two people were on board and were able to get themselves out of the plane and were helped by the local Search and Rescue.

The RCMP and Transport Canada will continue to investigate the cause of the crash.

It’s the second small plane crash in our area as of late after a small plane recently crashed in the Kennebecasis River near Gondola Point.

The 51-year-old pilot survived after the plane crashed into the water, landing upside down.
