An investigation has been launched after a police cruiser in Grand Manan was vandalised on August 13th. The police car was parked at the RCMP detachment overnight. The front windshield was smashed out causing significant damage. Police say it occurred sometime between 2 in the morning and noonhour on the 13th.

Meanwhile, the RCMP on Grand Manan arrested three boys between the ages of 12 and 14 for a series of thefts from 12 vehicles that occurred between August 13th and the 14th.
