BREAKING: SJPD Involved In High Speed Pursuit After An Empty School Bus Is Stolen

A wild and scary 20 minutes for Saint John police after a man, possibly 19 years old, took an empty school bus from Lorneville around 11am this morning.

Several officers attempted to stop the bus along Highway 1 and then along Highway 7 in a high speed pursuit and two cruisers were rammed in the process.

The bus eventually crashed into a gulley off Highway 177.

Major Crime has been called in along with a traffic reconstructionist.

The man was taken into custody and no was one was hurt.
