Warning From Fire Marshall

With the recent snow storms hitting New Brunswick and more snow in the forecast, larger buildings such as commercial buildings, arenas and warehouses are at risk of roof collapse.

The province’s fire marshal is urging owners of larger structures to consider having their roofs cleared when they get the opportunity.

Over the weekend in Hanwell, part of the roof of a building housing Signature Sound collapsed from the weight of the snow but no one was injured.

Exhaust vents in homes and commercial buildings should also be cleared of snow and ice.
