A popular wedding venue in the Belleisle area has burned to the ground.
Bates barn was destroyed by fire early this morning.
The Bates family got the call afer 3am and the barn is a total loss.
Farm machinery, other equipment, supplies were also lost along with the special events venue often used for outdoor weddings.
In a Facebook post, the family says they are in shock and they believe the fire was set on purpose.
The barn was built back in 1946 withstanding many a storm over the years.
Those with weddings booked for this year have been contacted.
