Conservative M-L-A Trevor Holder of Portland-Simonds is concerned none of the money set aside to mark Canada’s 150th birthday will be spent on the New Brunswick Museum. He questions why such funding would be used to renovate the Centennial office building in Fredericton instead.
Holder says the museum has been left twisting in the wind.
Meantime, the provincial government is examining different options for carbon pricing which will be implemented in New Brunswick next year. That confirmation coming from Environment and Local Government Minister Serge Rouselle.
The provincial government has announced there’s $415 thousand in the budget to promote local food and beverages but no specifics have been divulged.
