In the Kennebecasis Valley, they’re looking at using four season tires on police cruisers and not all seasons during the winter which was the miscommunication from Rothesay Council last week.
Traffic Sergeant Even Scott of the Kennebecasis Regional Police says he has the four season tires on his own car and they are designed to be used year round. They have the symbols on them that show they can be used in winter and, as such, are winter tires.
He tells us police in Edmonton, where the winters are harsh, have switched over to these four seasons and police in Michigan are testing them out, adding he would never advocate police use all season tires in the wintertime or any other driver for that matter.
