VIDEO: No Charges, No Injuries After Hockey Brawl Police Say

Saint John police say no charges have been laid and no one was injured after a brawl broke out during a hockey game this weekend.

It happened at the Lord Beaverbrook Arena on Saturdsay night and the fight occured between players at fans at a Junior B game.

Sergeant Chuck Breen says officers saw a number of players in the penalty box fighting with fans in the area behind the box.

“Officers were able to break up the fights and move the fans out of the area,” Sergeant Breen says,

“Officers remained on scene for the rest of the game and until both teams had exited the arena safely.”

The Southern Sting beat the Grand Lake Moose 4-2 and have advanced to the New Brunswick Junior Hockey league finals.
