A suspension has been handed down to the Junior B hockey player involved in a brawl at the Lord Beaverbrook Rink over the weekend.
The player jumped over the glass in the penalty box to fight fans attending the game.
New Brunswick Junior Hockey League Vice President Bernie Legere says the player will be suspended for the entire season next year, including playoffs.
Legere says the league will not tolerate players going after fans.
He says he felt awful when he saw the video of the brawl and says although the a fans provoked the player, it’s not a reflection of the league.
The suspended player is a member of the Grand Lake Moose.
