Quispamsis Council Told It Will Get An Increase In Deer Permits For This Year

The Town of Quispamsis says for now it has no choice but to accept the province’s solution to its nuisance deer problem.

The council and others in the KV were looking for a deer management plan that would have seen a double animal per tag harvest implemented in the area, but instead the province has informed the council it will be getting an increase in permits instead.

The Town is hoping that once the province further studies the issue it may come around and allow the double animal per tag in time for the 2018 hunting season.
