The deadline is almost here for party memberships to enable those who sign up to vote in the federal Conservative Party leadership convention in late May.
More than 13 hundred memberships were rejected over allegations of vote rigging.
Former Fundy-Royal M-P Rob Moore is now the Atlantic critic for the Conservatives who will be one of the convention delegates. He doesn’t see the accusations eroding public trust in the party over the long run.
Moore says there are always accusations of this sort in any leadership race regardless of the party and with 14 candidates, there’s bound to be a lot of intensity.
