Municipalities are worried about what the legalisation of marijuana next July will mean for their bottom line.
The Atlantic Mayors Congress is calling for a new funding program that will provide municipalities with significant startup costs, pointing out the cost of public safety is rising and taking up a disproportionate share of municipal budgets.
The Mayors also say they should be included in the decisionmaking.
