The west side may not lose out on its splash pad after all.
With the realisation the splash pad couldn’t be built by the end of March, it was considered a major setback because a $100,000 federal contribution would be lost.
Under this possible solution, the contribution from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency would still be available if the successful contractor could deliver $200,000 worth of the splash pad equipment by March 31st.
That would meet the deadline set by ACOA but with the warning there’s a the risk the equipment won’t be delivered on time which would mean no money from ACOA.
