In the “Q”, Baie-Comeau scored three times in the second period and held on to edge the Saint John Sea Dogs, 5-4. Joe Veleno and Landon Quinney each had a goal and an assist for the Sea Dogs who play tonight in Chicoutimi. The Sea Dogs have recalled goaltender Stewart Bagnell from the Dartmouth Steele Subaru Major Midgets of the Nova Scotia Major Midget Hockey League. The 16-year-old from Halifax is in his second season with Steele Subaru and in ten games, his record is 8 and 2 with a 2.20 goals against average.

In the NHL, it was Minnesota over Montreal 6-3. The Canadiens have allowed the most third period goals of any team so far…..Sean Kuraly scored his first goal in the third period to give Boston a 2-1 win over the Vegas Golden Knights……The Toronto Maple Leafs lost 5-4 to the Los Angeles Kings who have won 8 of their last 10 games. Auston Matthews scored a goal and added an assist for the Leafs…..Mike Smith made 43 saves and Mark Giordano scored 2:19 into overtime in Calgary’s 2-1 win over Pittsburgh…..J.T. Miller scored 1:19 into overtime as the Rangers got by Tampa Bay 2-1…..In other play, it was Ottawa 3 Detroit 1….Washington 4 NY Islanders 3…..Columbus 7 Florida 3…..Philadelphia 2 St. Louis 0…..Winnipeg 5 Dallas 2……Colorado 5 Carolina 3 and Buffalo 5 Arizona 4.

Houston Texans rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson will have to undergo season ending surgery after tearing an A-C-L in his right knee. Watson ranks first in rushing yards among quarterbacks and is tied for first in touchdown passes.
