Two Monctonians Caught With 50,000 Pills Of Meth

Two Monctonians were caught with a significant quantity of drugs and a number of weapons during a traffic stop in Richibucto.

On October 31st, RCMP officers seized 50 pounds of meth in the form of 50,000 pills, as well as two rifles, and a shotgun.

A 52-year old man and a 42-year old woman were arrested, but have since been released from custody.

The investigation is ongoing, and the RCMP expect to lay charges.

Federal Agencies involved in the drug bust are the Federal Investigative Unit, based in Charlottetown, PEI, the New Brunswick RCMP Federal Operations Unit East, RCMP Traffic Services, and Richibucto RCMP.
