Donald Arsenault has resigned from the Legislature as criticism was growing over whether he was in a conflict of interest.
Arsenault got into political hot water for remaining as a Liberal M-L-A after accepting a job as government relations manager for the Building Trades in Ottawa. Premier Brian Gallant says he gave Arsenault an ultimatum……..Either remain as an M-L-A or leave forthe job with the Building Trades.
The Premier concedes it has been a rough few days but calls Arsenault a giant of the Liberal Party, wishing him well and Arsenault was given a standing ovation in the Legislature.
