A new recycling program has been launched for New Brunswickers…
CEO for Recycle NB Pat McCarthy says this new program is aimed at keeping old and used electronics out of New Brunswick landfills, “It’ll benefit the province by removing around 3500 tonnes of electronic waste from the landfills. That waste will be recycled and made into other products. It’s a good news story because anytime you can divert materials from the landfill and recycle, it creates green jobs and more people will have to be employed to sort them.”
The Electronic Products Recycling Association, is a not-for-profit, industry-led organization, that is running the new recycling program.
Those products include desktop computers, laptop computers, tvs, monitors, and cell phones.
