Liquor Sales Are Down

NB Liquor reports total sales for the quarter ending March 26th were $ 80.9 million, 3.2 per cent lower than for the same time in 2016.

Wine sales grew 2.1 per cent, up $400,000 over last year.

The sales of beer declined by 6.3 per cent, down by $2.6 million.

Hard liquor sales decreased by 1.4 per cent, down by $300 thousand and there was a 1 per cent decline in the sales of other beverages, coolers and ciders which amounted to a decrease of $100 thousand.

NB Liquor says fourth quarter results were lower than last year because of planned store closures for renovations and extreme weather which included the ice storm.
