A provincial Liberal cabinet minister is accusing some Conservative M-L-A’s of sexism.
The Minister responsible for Seniors and Long Term Care, Lisa Harris cited some comments she finds unacceptable and offensive. One of which was a Conservative M-L-A comparing Finance Minister Cathy Rogers to the fate of Marie Antoinette during the French Revolution.
Harris is calling for the M-L-A’s to be censored if a committee of the Legislature finds the comments were sexist.
Harris adds she brought the issue to the attention of Opposition leader Blaine Higgs who then, she says, wrote her a letter of apology.
