Discussions over climate change at the meeting of the G-7 leaders reportedly got heated with U.S. President Donald Trump the odd man out. German leader Angela Merkel called the discussion unsatisfactory with Trump not committing the U.S. to stay with the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.
Prime Minister Trudeau says the economic opportunities of the future are there for the taking with green energy holding out the possibility of generating good jobs over the long term.
Trudeau meets Pope Francis today and is expected to ask for a Papal apology for the Catholic Church’s role with residential schools.
