Saint John Hammered By Summer Storm

It’s not often Saint Johnners see a thunderstorm like the one that passed through the area last night around 8:00. If you were out walking, you likely got drenched quickly.

Sheets of rain came pouring down with thunder, lightning and even hail.

The worst of the storm didn’t last long but Environment Canada reports we still received more than 10 and a half millimeters of rain fell.

Some cars were half submerged in water because the drainage couldn’t keep with the torrential downpour.
