People’s Alliance leader Kris Austin brought up flooding compensation in the Legislature, looking for a timeline as to when all compensation will be paid out.
Austin’s Grand Lake area riding had severe flooding and he says many of his constituents still find themselves living in summer trailers and campers as the winter approaches.
Premier Blaine Higgs told the Legislature that he is still waiting for updated information on the flooding victims and once he has it he will be sharing it with Austin.
Both Austin and Higgs agreed that the cause of the historic flooding needs to be looked into.
