For many outside Saint John, the driving was very scary yesterday.
Many vehicles were stranded for more than an hour on a very icy highway near Sussex.
A road warrior letting us know she was one of them and she watched other motorists pass her only to end up in the ditch a little further up the road.
The Mounties assisted drivers in that area.
Earlier in the day, Route 127 near Saint Andrews was described as glare ice.

Here in Saint John, Saint John Police have requested the salt trucks come out this morning because of a few tricky areas.
The Harbour Bridge was on the slick side earlier.
Overnight city police were kept busy with several mental health calls which included two suicide attempts.
