It will cost hundreds of millions of dollars to renovate aging buildings that are being operated by the Horizon Health Network. That cost estimate from Horizon President and C-E-O Karen McGrath who concedes updating these buildings will not happen overnight because the money isn’t there.
McGrath says the provincial government last year allocated something like $10 million for upgrades.
She says some facilities were built in the early 1900’s which are still in use today.
