It’s not the best weather for our big birthday but it won’t deterr a lot of hearty Canadians who aren’t made of sugar.
Saint John-Rothesay MP Wayne Long tells us he’s handing out pins and tattoos in the City market and taking part in People parade.
We asked him what he loves about being Canadian and he says it’s the image we have around the world especially when other countries are turning inward and closing their borders.

He says we are country that is progressive and a beacon of hope in the world adding he’s very proud of the government and the country.

The town of Quispamsis have moved their Canada Day celebrations inside because of the forecast. They will be held at the Quispamsis Memorial Arena from 11am to 4pm.
