Another messy mixed bag of weather has arrived on our doorstep bringing snow, ice pellets, freezing rain and a whole lot of rain.
Environment Canada meteorologist Claude Cote says we will also experience an extended period of above freezing temperatures from now until Wednesday afternoon which will melt quite a bit of the snowpack.
“By sunset on Wednesday late afternoon we’ll see temperatures just crossing the freezing mark again. So it’s a slow cooling trend that will take place throughout the day on Wednesday so not a flash freeze situation,” says Cote.
“Towards tonight we’ll see all the periods of rain tapering off so significant amount of rain during the evening hours and easing off towards midnight tonight.”
