A live dashboard in the E-building at NBCC Saint John is showing students and visitors data on energy, water and electrial consumption.
The dashboard was installed back in December and will be used as a teaching tool for students and staff in certain programs.
Saint John Energy President and CEO Ray Robinson tells us this is way of the future.
He calls it a live lab with the various control systems in place that students have direct access to so they can really see how to efficiently operate a building.
David Nugent of Controls & Equipment Ltd, who installed the Building Management System and the Energy Dashboard for the Campus, says the building manager
literally has access to the entire building control system from their fingertips.
