There’s been change of plans for Moncton high students, who were preparing to start the school year at a brand new location.
The Superintendent for the Anglophone East School District Gregg Ingersoll says they toured the new school in the Royal Oaks area off Elmwood last week, and have decided that they will delay the September opening..
He says they want the transition for the students to be very positive, and for students to have full access to the whole school.
The construction is expected to be completed by October, but they will then start bringing the students over by grade level, and the staff will also get a chance to visit the school. They hope to having the students fully moved in by January..
For now, students will be returning to the current Moncton high that is located on Church Street.
