Don’t raise taxes and get your spending under control………That’s what the Retail Council of Canada wants to see the next provincial government do.
The Retail Council’s Atlantic Director Jim Cormier says there is concern among retailers that they’ll get stuck picking up part of the tab for the Alward Government’s new comprehensive drug plan. He maintains it should be the government’s responsibility since it falls under healthcare.
Cormier also says the Retail Council would like to see any future increases in the minimum wage pegged directly to what the increase is in the consumer price index.
