Shovels and snowblowers in Saint John are about to see some action with a storm slated to bring 15 centimetres of the white stuff after much of it melted away in the recent rainstorm.
Environment Canada meteorologist Claude Cote tells us the snowfall will start tonight and the winds will gust up to 60 kilometres an hour causing blowing snow. The worst of the storm for Saint John will be on Wednesday morning and easing off around noon.
Meantime, the Department of Public Safety’s Emergency Measures Organization warning New Brunswickers to check road conditions before you drive anywhere and to adjust your driving to the weather. As well, you’re being advised to make sure you have everything you need for at least 72 hours after a storm.
You’re also warned to stay away from shorelines.
