CCCC Group Says Bringing Day Surgery To CCH = Saving Money

The Concerned Citizens of Charlotte County think cost-savings can be found at the Charlotte County Hospital.
CCCC Co-chair John Gardner says if we open up the operating room at the Charlotte County Hospital by bringing in day surgeries, even surgeries from Saint John, this will reduce wait times elsewhere.
He says by reducing wait times, you reduce the amount of time a patient is on the healthcare system, which in turn, will cut costs.
Gardner claims the closure of 6 out of 10 hospitals in New Brunswick is being considered by the provincial government in an effort to cut costs.
He adds the choices presented in the Strategic Program Review aren’t really good options for us, especially in Charlotte County.
