Concerned Citizens Group Gathering Troops For Meeting Tomorrow

It’s time to stand up and defend the Charlotte County Hospital, the St. Stephen Courthouse, and more.
The Concerned Citizens of Charlotte County group are encouraging everyone to take part in the Engagement Tour, as the Provincial government gathers feedback on what New Brunswickers want implented by the choices presented in the Strategic Program Review document.
Co-chair of the group, John Gardner, says the government is already getting started by closing schools and courthouses, “They’re not listening to the people. That’s what we really want for them to do, start listening to the people, start taking into consideration what we’re doing and what we’re asking for.”
He says one thing that really concerns him is the Engagement Tour put on by the province will wind up on January 21st, while the provincial budget is set to be released on February 2nd. He adds, in the meantime, a lot of the things in the Choices document are already being implemented.
The Provincial Engagement Tour will be touching down in St. Stephen tomorrow (Saturday, January 16th) at the Garcelon Civic Center from 2-4 pm.
