Concerned Citizens Give Province “Other” Options At Strategic Program Review Meeting

If you don’t like the Choices presented in the Strategic Program Review — the Concerned Citizens of Charlotte County presenting a few other options for the provincial government to choose from.

Co-chair of the Citizens group, John Gardner, says that includes raising the gas tax by a cent, and removing duality. “We actually presented a rather lengthy document with everything that had been compiled from the week before, when the public got a chance to go on an open mic and actually talk about what their concerns were.”

Gardner says he personally spoke with Health Minister Victor Boudreau about the $1 million dollar savings that could be found by opening the St. Stephen Courthouse back up.

He also mentioned using the Charlotte County Hospital more effectively, in bringing services to St. Stephen to take the load off hospitals elsewhere in the province.
