Communities in the Sussex area will have to come together and support each other.
Those words from Fundy Royal MP Alaina Lockhart after Potash Corporation announced the closure of its Picadilly mine putting 430 people out of work.
Lockhart says the company appears to have a plan to help mitigate the impact.
“They (Potash Corp) seem to be putting together a plan to help mitigate these losses. Certainly it is a huge loss for the area.”
Lockhart adds all levels of government will have to work together and keep working to create jobs in New Brunswick.
