Saint John Police Investigating Armed Robbery On Peters Street

The Major Crime Unit is investigating an armed robbery over the weekend at an apartment on Peters Street.

Sergeant Lori Magee of the Saint John Police says a man reported he was robbed of his phone at knifepoint and the suspect also told him he owed a woman some money so she went with the victim to an ATM machine at the Garden Street Irving, which is where the victim called the police.

Police also called to a home on Kennedy Street because of a man kicking down a door and forcing his way into his mother’s house. Sgt. Magee says the man was out of control and damaged items in the home and kicked the officer when they arrived at the detention facility.

Also over the weekend police arrested a 31-year-old woman on a Canada Wide Warrant on First Street. It was for suspension of her parole earlier this month and for being unlawfully at large.
