Kennebecasis Regional Police have finished their investigation that prompted a heavily armed response July 4th after a person was seen by a police officer possibly armed with a rifle on School Avenue in Rothesay. Nearby woods were searched that evening but no one was found.
Police have subsequently discovered there were four teens with airsoft rifles. They have been spoken to and no charges will be laid.
Police are asking anyone out and about with an airsoft rifle or, for that matter, anything that looks like it might be perceived as a firearm to notify them in advance and airsoft rifles should be kept in a case or bag when being carried in public.
